Care of the machine

Cleaning rubber feet

Clean the rubber feet of the machine with
methyl alcohol from time to time. This will
ensure that the machine will not move on
the surface on which it is standing.

Replacing the upper knife

Turn off the power switch
Removal:
Set the seam width adjustment knob to 3.5
mm and secure the upper knife in place.
Loosen screw A with the spanner from the
accessory box and remove the upper knife.

Insertion:
Insert the new upper knife and tighten
screw A very slightly. Turn the hand
wheel until the upper knife is in its lowest
position.
In this position, the front edge of the
upper knife must be 0.5 to 1.0 mm below
the cutting edge of the lower fi xed knife.
When you have adjusted the upper knife
precisely, you can tighten retaining screw
A fully.
Loosen the screw to the upper knife.
Visit you local Pfaff dealer for precise
adjustment.
