11, Adjust the drHU press tame so that it is about
1" under the alignment pin,
12, Lay a 3/4" piece of wood (M) onto the drill press
table under the line pin, See Figure 15-5,
13, Using the drill press feed handle, lower the align-
ment pin down and mark (N) the wood,
Make sure
the wood does not move, See Figure 15-5,
14, Loosen the screw (F) in the top, left side of the
laser housing and using knob (G) located on the
underside of the laser housing, rotate the laser
beam (0) until crosses mark (N) in the wood, See
Figure 15-2 and 15-5,
15, Tighten screw, making sure the laser beam does
not move off the mark,
16, Repeat STEPS 14 and 15 to set the right side laser,
17, Move the wood about 1" and mark it again, check-
ing that the mark is position where the two laser
beams cross, if it does not repeat STEPS 13
through 16 above,
MAKE CERTAIN the drill press is disconnected from
the power source,

Hold the collar (A) and turn the chuck barrel (B)
counter-clockwise
to close the chuck jaws and
clockwise to open the chuck jaws,
See figure 16-1,
Open the chuck jaws slightly larger than the diame-
ter of the drill bit
insert the smooth end of drill bit in the chuck as far
as it wiii go, and then back the bit out 1/16" (or up
to the beginning of the drill bit flutes),
Center the drill bit in the chuck before tightening the
chuck,
To securely tighten the bit in the chuck, hold the
collar (A) with one hand and with the other hand
tighten the barrel (B) counter-clockwise,

NEVER run drill press to install or tighten a drill bit or
cutter in the keyless chuck,
