The camera supports a variety of flash modes for photographing
poorly lit or backlit
subjects.
Note that the built-in flash cannot be used, nor can the flash mode be changed, in 4, _,
or []
mode.
Using the Built-in Flash: A_o _._- ._j. _,

Modes

Rotate the mode dial to A_:_, _,
._@., _ i_i' or [].
The flash mode carl be changed after tile flash pops
up.
Press tile shutter-release
button all the way down to
shoot.

Confirm
or change
the current flash mode ([_ 65).
Select t__ to prevent the flash from firing.

Frame a photograph
and shoot.

Lower the flash when it is no longer needed.

press _ to raise the flash.

prevent the flash from firing, lower the flash.

Choose a metering
method
([_ 62), adjust
exposure,
frame the photograph,
and shoot.
Lowering
the Built-in
Flash
To save power when the flash is not in use, press it gently
downward
until the latch clicks into place.
