Basic Camera Settings: The Setup Menu
File No. Sequence

When Full Is Selected; I_ 118)
Choose how the camera names files.
Off (default setting)
File numbering is resetto 0001 when a new folder is created, the memory card is formatted, or
a new memory card is inserted.
On
File numbering continues by adding one to the last number usedafter a new folder is created,
the memory card is formatted, or a new memory card is inserted. The lastfile number is stored
even when file numbering is switched from On to Off, and file numbering continues by
adding one to tile last number stored the next time file numbering is set to On. Ifa
photograph is taken when the current folder contains a photograph numbered 9999, a new
folder will be created and file numbering will begin again from 0001 regardlessof the option
selected.
Reset
As for On, except that file numbering is reset to 0001 with tile next photograph taken (if the
current folder already contains photographs, a new folder will be created).

File Numbering
If the current folder is numbered 999 and contains 999 photographs or a photograph numbered
9999, tile shutter releasewill be disabled and tile messageCard is full will be displayed in the
monitor and _- J
p°L_ will blink in tile viewfinder. SelectReset for File no. sequence and format tile
memory card or insert another memory card in the camera.

removes dust from the low-pass filter protecting the image

Mirror
