Color Mode
• Modes la and Iliaare recommended for photos that will be printed without modification or viewed
in applications that do not support color management.
• If tile application supports color management, choose tile Adobe RGBcolor space when opening
photos taken in mode II. Seetile documentation provided with tile application for details.

Color Space
The color spacedetermines tile gamut of colors available for color reproduction, sRGBis for general
use, while Adobe RGBis used in publishing and commercial printing.

Hue Adjustment
Color consists of three elements, saturation, hue, and brightness.The Hue adjustment option is for
adjusting one of these elements, hue. Ascolor wheels are often used to express hue, with tile
degree of rotation of the color wheel indicating tile level of hue adjustment, angular degrees are the
units used.
White
Balance
Change the white balance setting (_'_ 52). In addition to the
options available from the Quick settings display detailed in "White
Balance", a specific type of fluorescent lighting can be specified.
White balance can also be fine tuned (_'_ 104). If fine tuning is not
necessary, set the fine tuning value to 0 and press OK.
