In InterServe 615, 625, 635, 645 systems, the BIOS and Power Console assign controller
numbers as follows:
u
BIOS lists the controllers starting from PCI slot 3 to PCI slot 1, and then PCI slot 6 (or
5), and counts them incrementally from 0 to 3.
u
Power Console counts the controllers incrementally from 0 to 3, but lists the controllers
starting from PCI slot 6 (or 5), and then from PCI slot 1 to PCI slot 3. The number
assigned to the controller shifts according to the number of installed controllers.
The following table shows how both utilities list up to four installed RAID controllers:
