4.
Check the execution result of the horctakeover command, and then do either of the following:
Procedure 3
1.
If the primary/secondary relationship of the Continuous Access Synchronous pair is not
reversed (that is, the copy direction is not reversed), use RAID Manager to create a
Continuous Access Journal pair. P-VOL of the Continuous Access Journal pair must be the
Continuous Access Synchronous secondary volume. S-VOL of the Continuous Access
Journal pair must be the S-VOL in the Continuous Access Journal secondary site.
2.
If the primary/secondary relationship of the Continuous Access Synchronous pair is
reversed (that is, the copy direction is reversed), re-create the Continuous Access Journal
pair that were released at step 1 of this procedure. When you finish re-creating the
Continuous Access Journal pair, the system configuration changes from 3DC multitarget
configuration to 3DC cascading configuration, and the former Continuous Access
Synchronous secondary volume changes to the primary volume.
If you followed step 1. above, remove failures in the primary site and other locations,
and then change the system into 3DC multitarget configuration (see
Multitarget Configuration after Recovering from Primary Site
instructions in
to primary site (in 3DC multitarget configuration)"
primary site.
If you followed step 2. above, remove failures in the primary site and other locations,
and then follow the instructions in
Synchronous secondary to primary site (in 3DC cascading configuration)"
business tasks back to the primary site.
Changing to 3DC Multitarget Configuration after Recovering from Primary Site Failures
If you follow the instructions in
configuration" (page 97)
you can change the system into 3DC multitarget configuration after removing failures from the
primary site and other locations. In the resulting 3DC multitarget configuration, the former Continuous
Access Synchronous secondary volume will be the primary volume.
To change the system into 3DC multitarget configuration:
1.
Use RAID Manager to release the former Continuous Access Journal pair.
2.
If pair resynchronization has not been performed to reverse the primary/secondary relationship
of a Continuous Access Synchronous pair (that is, if the pair is suspended), use RAID Manager
to resynchronize the pair, so that the primary/secondary relationship will be reversed.
Transferring business tasks from Continuous Access Synchronous secondary to primary
site (in 3DC cascading configuration)
If you follow the instructions in
configuration" (page 97)
can transfer your business tasks back to the primary site after removing failures from the primary
site and other locations.
To transfer your business tasks back to the primary site, follow the procedure below. RAID Manager
(RAID Manager) is used in this procedure:
1.
Stop business tasks at the Continuous Access Synchronous secondary site.
2.
Use RAID Manager to execute the horctakeover command on the Continuous Access
Synchronous pair.
The system configuration returns to 3DC multitarget configuration.
3.
Use the primary volume in the primary site to resume your business tasks.
