How to adjust the exposure
Follow the steps below to change the exposure setting.
1.
Make sure you are using the Program or Manual
camera mode. (See
settings" on page 2-28.)

In the Program camera mode, press the + button
to raise the exposure value or the - button to lower
the exposure value. You can make nine different
settings in increments of 0.5 from -2.0 to 2.0 EV.
When you select Auto Exposure, Shutter Priority,
or Aperture Priority in the Manual camera mode,
you can adjust the exposure. Press the + button to
raise the exposure value or the - button to lower
it. You can make 21 different settings in
increments of 0.2 from -2.0 to 2.0 EV.
Note:
You can see the value for the exposure setting on
the display panel.
You can set the exposure settings when taking
pictures with the viewfinder and you set Program
or Manual camera mode in Setup position. Use
the + button to go up the value or - button to go
down the value of the exposure.

Photographic experience and knowledge is
necessary to correctly adjust exposure. Be sure to
make proper exposure settings when taking
important photos.
When shooting under poor photographic
conditions, EPSON recommends taking several
photos of the same object using different
exposures.

Making advanced exposure adjustments

When you use the Manual camera mode, you can set
the correct exposure manually by changing the shutter
speed and the aperture. Select any exposure mode
among Auto Exposure, Shutter Priority, Aperture
Priority, and Manual Exposure. Although these
exposure modes are similar to the predefined
program modes available in the Program camera
mode, you can make advanced exposure adjustment
manually.
Note:
Photographic experience and knowledge is necessary to
adjust the shutter speed and the aperture correctly. Be sure
to make appropriate settings when taking important photos.
