Copying photos directly to a computer

To copy photos directly from your memory card to
your computer, follow these steps.
Note:
Macintosh users must enable the PC Exchange
extension software to access files on memory cards. See
your Macintosh documentation for more information.
You can also access the photos in your memory card
with the included EPSON Photo!3 software. For
instructions, see the EPSON Photo!3 User's Guide.
1. Install the memory card into your computer. See
"Installing a memory card into your computer"
on page 6-2.
2. Find and double-click the DCIM folder in your
computer. Then double-click the 100EPSON
folder. Your image files appear.
3. Double-click a file to view its thumbnail image.
4. Copy photos to the desired folder in your
computer.
Note:
The PhotoPC 850Z saves files in the automatically
generated 100EPSON folder.
Photo images you have taken are named automatically
when they are saved. For example, 91020001. The first
digit, 9, is the last number of the year you took photo.
The next digit, 1, is the month, January. (October,
November, and December are represented by X, Y, and
Z, respectively.) The next two digits, 02, represent the
day. The last four digits, 0001, indicate the order the
file was saved. Image files use the JPG extension, and
audio recording files use the WAV extension.

card
To copy programs to or erase programs from your
camera using your memory card, follow these steps.
