IrDA (Infrared Data Association) - IrDA ports allow a laptop to
exchange data or use a printer without a cable connection.

LAN (Local Area Network) - A communications network within a
confined physical area. It is made up of servers, workstations, a
network operating system and a communications link.
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) - A display technology that uses
rod-shaped molecules (liquid crystals) that flow like liquid and
bend light.
LED (Light Emitting Diode) - an electronic device that lights up
when electricity is passed through it. The indicator lights on the
computer are LEDs.
