5.2 Sequential Repair Service Program feature

5.2.1 Feature

In this manual, we will explain mainly about the Sequential repair service program.
This program provides you the suitable adjustment order by selecting the repair item in
the Sequential repair service program main menu. In this program, following 7 items
are listed.

Printhead removal
o
Printhead replacement
o
Main board replacement
o
CR unit replacement or removal
o
CR motor replacement or removal
o
Printer mechanism replacement
o
Waste ink pad replacement

The "Adjusted item" in the right column shows you the adjusted item which executed
in this program and it is easy to confirm the adjusted value. Additionally, this program
runs under the D4 (IEEE-1284.4) protocol. So, this program can get the several error
Adjustment
status even if the printer is error condition, and can control the printer under the error
condition. Following explain you the common function of the Sequential repair
service program.

Quit
If you want to exit this program, click the "Quit" button. Following menu is
displayed on the screen. And clicking the "Quit" Button in the following menu exit
the adjustment program completely. Clicking the "Next" button returns to the Top
menu (Initial setting menu) of Figure 5-3.

Menu
This function is used to stop the adjustment in the each sequential program and
clicking this "Menu" button returns to the Sequential repair service program main
menu of the Figure 5-6.
o
Get status
This function is used to get the printer status and following figure is displayed on
the screen by clicking the" Get status" button. This function can get the printer
status even if the printer is error condition except the main logic circuit failure, and
control the printer by using the D4 mode functions.
