2.3.10 Control Panel Circuit

Figure 2-21 shows a block diagram of the control panel circuit. E05A89 is agate array of the panel
I/F. LCD driver I/F, the LED driver and the SW's input circuit are built-into the gate array. The
serial interface is used between the control panel and the main board.
The cover open sensor is comected to the control panel circuit. If the PRINTER COVER is open, a
cover open signal is output to the main board via the panel circuit. Then the printer is turned
off-line.
