2.14.3 Advancing Movement of the Feed Dogs

For good stitch drawing the feed dogs should, after exceeding the
upper needle bar dead center, still conduct a slight "subsequent
advance".
Caution Risk of Injury!
Before adjusting turn the main switch off.
Advance eccentric for the rear feed dog
–
Loosen the screws of the advance eccentric 1.
–
Arrest the handwheel in position B.
–
Insert gauge 8 into the slit 2 on the advance eccentric.
–
Turn the advance eccentric so that the edges of the gauge touch
on the stitch regulator guide 3.
–
Tighten the screws of the advance eccentric again.
–
Check the axial play of the lower shaft.
Attention!
By maximum transport length the feed dog may not strike the
needle plate slot.
Advance eccentric for the forward feed dog
–
Set the slit of the advance eccentric parallel to the left advance
eccentric.
