Adjusting Speed of Tape Advance
The operation of the advance must be rapid but not spasmodic.
–
Forward motion is adjusted with control 3 on the cylinder.
–
Reverse motion is adjusted with control 4 on the magnetic valve.
The magnetic valves are located beneath the base plate.
Adjusting Blower air in the tape channel and guide axle
The blower air in the tape channel stabilises the tape when it is moved
towards the needle.
The blower air on the guide axle keeps it free of dust and fluff.

Adjust control 5 on the magnetic valve.
The air flow must be such that there are no whistling noises when
the tape is advanced.
The magnetic valves are located beneath the base plate.
Adjusting the magnet
The setting of magnet 2 must be such that the cover plate lays onto
block 4.

Undo screw 1 on the magnet.

Adjust magnet 2.
–
Tighten screw 1 on the magnet.
–
Check that the slider can move freely beneath the cover plate.
