(4) Document reading operation
The document is held down from above by the white mylar sheet (white
reference sheet).
After the contact sensor has detected the white level from the white mylar
sheet, the document is passed over the contact sensor to be read.

(5) Document eject operation
When the trailing edge of the document has passed out of the separation
roller, pulling back by the spring clutch inside the separation roller stops,
and the separation roller enters the separation process for the second docu-
ment sheet. When the trailing edge of the document passes the feed roller,
