Diagnostic Test 3 – Calibrate Lift Home
This test uses one disc to calibrate the distance from the lift arm home position to
the top of the lift column and then to the input bins.
Before you begin, make sure that the autoloader is in diagnostic test mode. Refer
to the
Access and Select Diagnostic Tests
1.
Press the operator button three times and hold it in on the third press. The
operator panel displays [STARTING TEST RELEASE BUTTON].
2.
Release the operator button. The operator panel displays [PLACE 1 DISC
IN INPUT BIN PRESS/RELEASE TO GO. HOLD TO EXIT].

Place one disc in the input bin.

Caution: Make sure that there is only one disc in bin 1 and no discs
in bin 2. Attempting to perform this test with more than one disc in the
5300N will cause miscalibration, which can result in damage to the lift
arm and the recorders.
4.
Press and release the operator button. The diagnostic test begins.

Note: Press and hold the operator button for five seconds to stop the
test while it is running and return to diagnostic test mode.
5100N
The lift arm moves to the top of the column.
The lift arm moves to the input bin, picks up the disc, and releases
it back into the input bin.
The lift arm moves to its homing position.
5300N
The lift arm moves to the top of the column.
The lift arm moves to input bin 2 to check for discs.
When no discs are found, the lift arm moves to input bin 1 and picks
up the disc.
The lift arm releases the disc into input bin 2, picks up the disc, and
releases it again.
The lift arm moves to bin 1 to check for discs.
When no discs are found, the lift arm moves to its homing position
The autoloader automatically exits diagnostic test three and diagnostic
test mode.
