The system board is equipped with an onboard IEEE 1394 port at
location CN8 (IEEE 1394_1) of the system board.
The IEEE 1394 connector at location J6 (1394_2) is used to con-
nect to the IEEE 1394 port that is on the FrontX device. (The
FrontX device, which comes with LANPARTY series products, must
be installed into a drive bay of the chassis.) Refer to the LANPARTY
Features manual for more information about FrontX.
Connect the IEEE 1394 cable connector from FrontX to J6. Make
sure pin 1 of the cable connector is aligned with pin 1 of J6. You
may now connect an IEEE 1394 device to the port.
BIOS Setting
Enable or disable the onboard IEEE 1394 in the Integrated
Peripherals submenu ("Onboard Device" section) of the BIOS. Refer
to chapter 3 for more information.
