b. Enter the requested information for this IP address at the prompts:

The logical IP address is automatically updated immediately.
c. To configure the IP address for logical switch 1, enter the following
command at the prompt:
ipAddrSet 1
d. Enter the requested information for this IP address at the prompts as

The terminal serial port can be used to monitor error messages
Note
through a serial connection. HP does not recommend using a serial
interface during normal operations. Use of a telnet session is
recommended instead.
f. Remove the serial cable and protect the port from dust by replacing
the shipping cap.
6. Connect the active CP card by Ethernet cable to the LAN by completing
the following steps:
a. Remove the shipping plug from the Ethernet port on the active CP
card.
b. Insert one end of an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port.
c. Connect the other end to an Ethernet 10/100 Base-T LAN.
7. Repeat

to connect the standby CP card.
8. Log in to either of the logical switches by telnet using the administrative
