Cause and Action
1.
Verify the following items:
The IDE channel to which the CD-RW/DVD drive is attached
a.
(primary) is enabled in the configuration/setup utility
program.
All cables and jumpers are installed correctly.
b.
The correct device driver is installed for the CD-RW/DVD
c.
drive.
Run the CD-RW/DVD drive diagnostic programs.

Check the CD-RW/DVD drive.
3.
Clean the CD or DVD.

Run the CD-RW/DVD drive diagnostic programs.
2.
Check the CD-RW/DVD drive.
3.
Make sure that the device is turned on.

Insert the end of a straightened paper clip into the manual

tray-release opening.
Check the CD-RW/DVD drive.

Cause and Action
Remove the first drive not recognized and try the hard disk drive

If the remaining drives are recognized, the drive that you removed
