Instructions for placing the
printer
Observe the following when setting up the printer:
❏ Choose a flat and stable location that can support
the printer weight (about 103 kg).
❏ Use only an outlet that meets the power
requirements of this printer.
❏ Leave enough room for easy operation,
maintenance, and ventilation.

❏ Operate the printer under the following
conditions (temperature is 10 to 35˚C and
humidity is 20 to 80%).
Even when the conditions above are met, you may not
print properly if the environmental conditions are not
proper for the paper. Be sure to use the printer where
the paper conditions are met. See the handling
instructions of the paper for more detailed
information. Keep the printer away from drying,
direct sunlight, or heat sources to maintain the
appropriate humidity.

Maintaining White Ink

Due to the properties of the white ink, sedimentation
can occur. To maintain optimum printing conditions,
make sure you periodically perform the following
maintenance procedure.
❏ Turn the printer on once a week and shake the
white ink cartridge. This can prevent
sedimentation in the white ink cartridge.

❏ If you have not printed for a while, turn the
printer on once a month and execute PRINT
WITH WHITE INK from NOZZLE CHECK on the
control panel. This can prevent sedimentation in
the nozzles.

Notes for when you are not
using the printer
The print head nozzles are very small, thus, they can
become clogged easily if dust gets on the print head.
To avoid this, close the roll paper cover or the front
cover when you are not using the printer. If you are
not using the printer for a long time, put a non-static
cloth on the printer to avoid getting dust on the printer.

About ink cartridges

Be sure to use the ink cartridges that are supported
with this printer.

Caution:

If you do not use genuine Epson ink with this
printer, print quality may decline, the print head
may be blocked or ink may leak causing damage
to the printer. Also, it may not be able to detect
how much ink is remaining.
