Persisted fabric not supported with non-McDATA principal switch
Persisted fabric will not function properly if connection is lost to the principal switch
which is not an M-Series or McDATA switch. Persisted fabrics are keyed off the principal
switch. A switch that is not an M-Series or McDATA switch cannot be managed by
HAFM. When such a switch is the principal switch and the fabric is persisted, incorrect
persist fabric updates occur if the connection is lost to the principal switch. Always
ensure that an M-Series or McDATA switch is the principal switch in your fabric.
Port fencing issues
A fenced port may be displayed as disabled after clearing problem and placing the
port back online.
Alert bar may not count the correct number of ports blocked by fencing. More than one
port may be blocked, however, only one is displayed.
Security violations may not display a yellow alert icon.
The Switch Threshold dialog box does not open in the same session that a policy has
been removed from switch level.
You must unblock, block, and then unblock aport again to recover after a fencing policy
has been invoked.
Removing switch level threshold causes ports to incorrectly inherit policy. The switch
inherits the fabric policy and all subordinate ports inherit the policy regardless of any
directly assigned port policies.
McDATA 4Gb SAN Switch issues
Show route may not work between end devices when attached to a McDATA 4Gb
SAN Switch.
Fabric Binding cannot be enabled for a fabric consisting of only McDATA 4Gb SAN
Switches.
HAFM 8.08.00 does not have SNMP Agent Support for the McDATA 4Gb SAN Switch.
Invalid attachment may not show on an M-Series or McDATA switch port. If there is an
invalid attachment between two ports, a McDATA 4Gb SAN Switch and a M-Series or
McDATA switch, the Invalid attachment may not be displayed on the McDATA switch port.

Zoning restrictions

A zoneset with more than 2048 members cannot be imported.
When you activate zoning with the maximum number of zones (2048) in a zoneset, the
HAFM application may hang.
For Solaris, Linux and AIX remote clients, a zoneset cannot be imported from a directory
not containing a DTD file.
