Head Gap Sensor Removal (23XX-002, 003)

1. Remove the top cover
see "Top Cover Removal" on page
2. Remove the sub logic board
see"Sub Logic Board Removal" on page
3. Remove the paper feed motor and the paper feed motor plate
see "Paper Guide / Platen Assembly Removal" on page
4. Move the forms thickness lever to position 7.
5. Remove the screw [1] and remove the head gap sensor
assembly [2].
6. When you re-install the sensor, be sure the rear of the head gap
sensor assembly is held in place by the paper feed motor plate.
