System Properties>Advanced>FixUp>SIP
The SIP panel allows you to enable or disable the PIX Firewall to look into the payload of the Session Initiation
Protocol (SIP) signal channel and apply the Adaptive Security Algorithm (ASA). You can specify the port at
which the PIX Firewall listens for SIP traffic. SIP FixUp is enabled for port 5060 by default.

Important Notes
The PIX Firewall uses SIP to support Voice over IP (VoIP) gateways and VoIP proxy servers.

Field Descriptions
The SIP panel displays the following fields:
Enable—Enables SIP FixUp for a PIX Firewall. Selecting this check box disables SIP FixUp.
Port—Specifies port 5060 as the port at which the PIX Firewall listens for SIP traffic.
Note: The SIP port number cannot be changed.
Apply to PIX—Sends changes made in PDM to the PIX Firewall unit and applies them to the running
configuration.
Reset—Discards changes and reverts the panel to the information displayed when it was opened or the last
time
Refresh
was clicked while open.
