Installing the Intel
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
Information".
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
Cover".
4. Remove the PCI riser assembly. For instructions, see
Assembly".
5. Squeeze the sides of the Intel
server system back panel and remove it. See letter "A" in the figure below.
6. Remove the paper backing from the self-adhesive foam gasket and attach the gasket
to the underside of the Intel
figure below.
7. Attach the standoffs to the server board (see letter "C" in the figure below) and
attach the Intel

8. Insert the standoff into the hole labeled TH4 on the Intel
"E" in the figure below). The standoff installs on the bottom side of the Intel
RMM board.
9. Attach the Intel
into the matching hole on the server board.
