When a new user is created, they are automatically added to the Everyone group.
Members of this group have Modify, Delete, Create, Write and Read permissions to the Everyone
Folder. You can modify these permissions at any time, including from the Permissions page of the new
user's property page.
One quick way to assign user permissions is to make the current user equivalent to another user. This can
be very useful for managing complex Data Protector Express installations with multiple users and varying
security or for making temporary changes to a user's permissions.
Use this page to make the current user equivalent to another user. To make the current user equivalent to
another user, select the other user in the right window pane and click the Add button; the user is moved to
the left window pane. Similarly, to end an equivalency, select the other user in the right window pane and
then click the Remove button.
