9 In the Select Capacity table, select the relevant disk group capacity, and
click Finish. Repeat the procedure for a minimum of two disk groups and
then proceed to "Creating Virtual Disks" on page 39.
If you have selected Manual configuration, proceed to step 10.
10 For manual configuration, the Manual Physical Disk Selection window is
displayed.
11 Choose the appropriate RAID level in Select RAID level. You can select
RAID levels 0, 1/10, 6, and 5. Depending on the RAID level chosen, the
physical disks available for the selected RAID level is displayed in
Unselected physical disks table.
12 In the Unselected physical disks table, select the appropriate physical
disks and click Add.
NOTE:
<Ctrl> or <Shift> and selecting additional physical disks.
13 To view the capacity of the new disk group, click Calculate Capacity.
14 Click Finish.
Repeat the procedure for a minimum of two disk groups and then proceed
to "Creating Virtual Disks" on page 39.

Creating Virtual Disks

NOTE:
Before creating virtual disks, organize the physical disks into disk groups
and then create a virtual disk within each disk group.
Create a minimum of two virtual disks dedicated for NAS storage. The NAS
storage capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 16 virtual disks. The
number of virtual disks must increment in pairs.
NOTE:
Minimum virtual disk size required for the PowerVault NX3500 is 125 GB.
