Media Streaming
Media streaming sends media—music, photos and video files—from the
Media Vault to DMA-enabled devices, such as your TV or stereo, that can
play the media. Music in media streaming-enabled folders can also be
listened to in iTunes.
Note: DRM-protected music cannot be shared from the Media Vault with
iTunes or streamed to DMA-enabled devices.
Actions
Edit - Change features associated with the shared folder.
Delete - Deleting a shared folder automatically deletes all of the sub-
folders and files stored in that shared folder.
Note: The Backup, Documents, Music, Photos, and Videos shared
folders cannot be renamed or deleted.

Creating a Shared Folder

Create shared folders to organize content on your HP Media Vault. Folders
can have public or private permissions. Private folders have more security and
require a user name and password to log on.
To create a shared folder
At the computer, click Start, All Programs, HP Media Vault, and

then Control Center.
On the Tools tab, click Customize HP Media Vault.

You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one
up. For additional information, see
On the Shared Folders tab, click Create Shared Folder.

In the Folder Name box, type a descriptive name.

Typing a Comment is optional.
Select Public or Private Folder Access.

Public - Public folders give everyone on your network equal access.
However, you can check Protect Shared Folder and create a shared
