We recommend that you only use Heavy filtering if there are large fluctuations in
the displayed data, or if the rate of change is small. Reduced filtering is preferable,
since this shortens the delay between updating the changes in sensor location, and
the corresponding displayed information.

How to set up spread and depth sensors to measure vertical
geometry
If you have one depth sensor mounted on each trawl door, you can make the PI50
calculate the vertical geometry. The system will then read each of the two depth values,
subtract one from the other, and show you the difference.
