Simrad PI44/54 Catch monitoring SW 2.00/2.01
Introduction
This document describes the
software and other changes introduced
with the following software:
• MMI SW version 2.00
• DSP SW version 2.01
The Man-Machine Interface
(MMI) software is the PI44/54
program that controls the menu
system and presentations. The DSP
software controls the operation of the
digital signal processor.
Documentation
The operator manuals for PI44 and
PI54 are not changed.
T E C H N O L O G Y
How to install the new SW
Registered Simrad dealers can
download the new software versions
from the Simrad Dealer Club. All
relevant procedures are also available
from the same site.
End users must contact their
Simrad dealer for assistance.
MMI Software
The new MMI software version
is distributed as an ISO file. In order
to install the software, you must first
burn this ISO file to a CD using the
"burn CD from image" feature (or
similar).
F O R S U S T A I N A B L E
In order to upload the software
you will need a personal computer, a
special upload cable (can be obtained
from Simrad) and the installation
instructions.
DSP Software
The new version of the DSP
(Digital Signal Processing) must
be installed after the MMI software
upgrade. In order to have a fully
functional MMI, the DSP software
must be upgraded.
