Please read them carefully prior to the operation of the device! Notes on the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) MANO 12 is suited for the use in all set-ups including the domicile that are connected directly to a public power supply for buildings with residential purposes.

Reinstatement, installation and maintenance This device may be technically repaired and reconditioned by Reinecker Vision GmbH only or by an authorized technician.
The order code of your device can be found on the type label on the device or on the packaging. Purpose MANO 12 is a system for magnifying text and pictures. Declaration of Conformity (DoC), CE/FCC mark You can request a copy of the declaration of conformity in written form from Reinecker Vision GmbH, Sandwiesenstr.
2. Do not touch the AC adapter with wet hands. 3. Only use the original power supply which is included in the delivery by Reinecker Vision GmbH. The use of any other equipment might lead to a product damage. 4. If the system is equipped with batteries, only original parts from Reinecker Vision GmbH should be used for replacement.
Description of the two stand variants MANO 12 can be used quickly and compactly with the integrated stand or with the foldable reading/writing stand included in the scope of delivery. With the help of the reading/writing stand, you can write comfortably or conveniently view thicker objects such as food packaging under the mag- nifier.

Use of the foldable reading/writing stand The reading/writing stand is a useful extension to the MANO 12 and can be packed together with the reading magnifier in the carrying case. Unfolding the reading/writing stand fold down Side arms press lift...
Charging socket Switch ON/OFF Press the ON/OFF button for three seconds to switch the MANO 12 ON. You switch the device OFF in the same way. Standby mode In standby mode, the screen is switched OFF but the device remains switched ON.
Near/distant view Open or close the stand to switch between near and far view mode. Zoom (-/+) Press the plus button to enlarge the view and the minus button to reduce the view. To navigate in the enlarged image section, move the joystick up / down / left / right.

Text recognition and read aloud function Lay your document flat under MANO 12 and tap the screen if necessary to focus the document. Briefly press the camera button to capture the document. Text recognition starts and the document is automatically rotated.
Tip: Have DIN A4 documents read aloud To record a DIN A4 document in one step, you must use the MANO 12 with the separate reading/writing stand and place the document horizon- tally under the magnifier. Tip: The best way to capture documents Text recognition is best suited to reading normal-sized printed text in a single column.

12 reads out the text. PDF files You can transfer PDF files from your PC to MANO 12 as described in „Transferring files from a computer“ on page 23. These files can be read out page by page. When you select a PDF file, you will see a circle in the top right-hand corner indicating the current page and the total num- ber of pages in the PDF.
Main menu Open/ exit main menu In the live view, briefly press the Home button to open the main menu. Press the home button, the camera button or tap the back icon to close the main menu. There are six options in the main menu: 1 Read aloud function 2 Gallery 3 Distance camera...

Screen brightness Slide the joystick to the left or press the magnification buttons to change the screen brightness. You can also tap on the displayed bar to adjust the screen brightness. To confirm, press the color mode button or tap "OK". To exit the setting, press the camera button or tap "Back".

Color mode You can hide unneeded semi colors here. Press the joystick right / left / up / down to switch between the colors. Press the color mode button to deactivate or activate a specific color mode. Alternatively, you can also tap the corresponding color combination with your finger. A crossed-out symbol means that this color combination is hidden.
Firmware version You can view the current firmware version of MANO 12 here. OCR and read-aloud function No further settings need to be made here, as MANO 12 has an OCR and read-aloud function as standard. Standby mode ON/OFF To switch standby mode ON or OFF, either tap the icon or press the color mode button.

Output input You can also transmit the camera image from MANO 12 to a TV or mon- itor. Connect MANO 12 to your external display device using the HDMI cable included in the scope of delivery. With most televisions, the input source must be changed in order to display the image from MANO 12.

Note: If the battery is almost empty, a red battery symbol appears at the bottom left of the screen and the status LED lights up red. The device switches itself OFF shortly afterwards unless you charge it. Battery life and charging time When the battery is fully charged, the operating time is up to approx.

V. Warranty information 1. Reinecker Vision GmbH grants a warranty of 24 months (warranty period only valid within the European Union) against defects in manufacture counted from date of invoice ex Reinecker Vision GmbH. 2. All parts that have been replaced when repairing the unit will automatically become property of Reinecker Vision GmbH.
