Overview Models 85741 and 85742 FlowMaster II rotary driven hydraulic pump is a hydraulically operated adjustable Two models 85741 and 85742 are similar, grease pump. though length of housing tube differs in each Grease output is proportional to hydraulic model. Model 85742 also includes a pressure input.
Description Diagram 1 FlowMaster II pump is driven by rotary motion of hydraulic motor. Rotary motion is converted to reciprocating motion through eccentric crank mechanism. Reciprocating action causes pump cylinder to move up and down. Unit is a positive displacement double-acting pump, as grease output occurs during both up and down stroke.
Installation 1 Mount pump securely on drum cover so WARNING that it cannot move or vibrate during Do not exceed 400 psi (27 bar) working Pump is tested in lightweight oil which is left operation. Refer to fig. 2, page 10. hydraulic pressure.
Fig. 2 NOTE Do not exceed maximum operating temperature of hydraulic fluid 250°F (121°C). Never allow pump to run dry of lubricant. Dry pump quickly speeds up, creating friction heat that can damage seals. Monitor supply lubricant level and refill when necessary. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
