This equipment has to be used only within areas designed for spraying with respect to EN 50176. The equipment has to be used only within ventilated in order to reduce risks for the health of the operators, fire or explosion. The efficiency of the extraction ventilation system has to be daily checked.
Page 11
The use of very high voltage increases the risk of sparks. Sames atomizers and high-voltage electrostatic generators are designed to minimize this risk. Although the HV electrode is the only accessible part, a safety distance of X mm (see § 3.3 page 21) has to be maintained between the parts of the sprayer that are under high voltage and all the parts that are grounded.
1.5.1. Regulatory tests to be carried out on the equipment according to standard EN 50176 The tests must be carried out on the spraying equipment. The tests must be carried out by competent personnel and include the tests described below (see § 6.3 table 3 in standard EN 50176). Type of test Requirements In this context, and particularly for the disconnection...

1.6.7. Ventilation Do not begin applying paint with the TRP 501 00 D SB before starting up the ventilation system in the spraying booth. If the ventilation is cut, toxic substances such as organic solvents or ozone may remain in the spraying booth, resulting in a risk of fire, poisoning or irritation.
1.6.9. Safety devices During installation of the TRP 501 00 D SB, it is important to set up safety devices enabling high voltage power, paint, solvent and air supplies to be cut immediately if there is a problem. • Detection of control system faults •...

When only one atomizing head is fitted on a Manifold block, with assembly on an insulating arm by fixing with a tightening nut, it ’s a TRP 501 00 D SB. • The manifolds have ducts for spraying air, trigger air, paint and the high voltage. They have a paint inlet, a paint dump outlet, four air inlets fitted with plastic unions and a high voltage connector.
4. Diagrams The trigger pilot air is used to start or stop spraying. The atomizing air provides a fine spray and project the mist well clear of the air cap, avoiding soiling. The fan air determines the impact spray diameter (wide or narrow). Pilot trigger - D: 4/6 or 2,7 /4 Dump - D: 6/8 Dump pilot - D: 4/6 ou 2,7 /4...

Soiling and wear of TRP 501 00 D SB is depend on operating and application conditions. 6.1. Summary table of maintenance operations Therefore, the maintenance intervals indicated in the procedures below are only indicative.
6.2. Preventive maintenance plan - PMP 7028 The objective of the proposed preventive maintenance plan is to define in an exhaustive way, the verification, replacement and cleaning actions of the installed Sames equipment. In order to anticipate breakdowns and malfunctions that may be due to technical deviations of the installation, the preventive maintenance plan attached to the user manual lists the routine maintenance operations necessary for better comfort in the use of the production tool.
6.3. Cleaning These maintenance operations can be performed online. Always refer to the health and safety instructions before carrying out any work (see § 1.5 page 6.3.1. Procedure A: Cleaning of atomizer exterior At regular intervals during frequent use, and at the end of each cycle: •...
• Every eight hours, clean the outside of the air spray gun with a clean cloth dampened with solvent. • Make sure that the holes of the cap are not blocked. • Dry carefully with compressed air. 6.3.2. Procedure B: Cleaning of cap •...
6.4. Replacement 6.4.1. Procedure C1: Replacement of atomizer • Run a rinse cycle. • Switch off the different air and paint supplies. If necessary, decrease the circuit pressure using the trigger pilot valve, but first switch off all feeds and power supplies (automatic or manual cycles).
6.4.2. Procedure C2: Replacement of Manifold blocks 6.4.2.1. TRP 501 00 D SB Manifold block • Remove the TRP (see § 6.4.1 page 30). • Disconnect the hoses. • Disconnect the high-voltage cable from the Manifold block. • Remove the TRP support flange by unscrewing the 2 M6x16 screws.
6.4.3. Procedure C3: Replacement of high voltage connection Ensure not to wound the insulator. The least stripe or starts of notch on the surface of insulator will cause a breakdown of the cable. • Strip the outer sheath over a length of 225 mm using a tool type strip-cable (rice grain) to avoid damaging the inner insulation.
7. Troubleshooting 7.1. Problems concerning the TRP 500 see DRT7005 7.2. Problems concerning the Manifold block Symptoms Possible Causes Remedies The nut of the dump valve is not tight- Paint leaks from the dump valve trigger ened sufficiently and/or the diaphragm See above.
8. Spare parts list The spare parts are classified in 2 different types: • 1st emergency parts: The 1st emergency parts are strategic components which are not necessarily consumables but which in case of failure prohibit the operation of the equipment. Depending on the production line's commitment and the production rates imposed, the first emergency parts are not necessarily kept available in the customer's stock.
