    The whole of these user manuals defines the configuration of the certified equipment. 1.2. Marking on the atomizer The TRP 501 00 D SB is designed in accordance with the ATEX 2014/34/EU Directive, it is category 2 according to EN 50176 and is intended for use in zone 1.

    1.4. Precautions for use This document contains information that all operators should be aware of and understand before using the TRP 501 00 D SB. This information highlights situations that could result in serious damage and indicates the precautions that should be taken to avoid them.
  • Page 10 This equipment has to be used only within areas designed for spraying with respect to EN 50176. The equipment has to be used only within ventilated in order to reduce risks for the health of the operators, fire or explosion. The efficiency of the extraction ventilation system has to be daily checked.
  • Page 11 The use of very high voltage increases the risk of sparks. Sames atomizers and high-voltage electrostatic generators are designed to minimize this risk. Although the HV electrode is the only accessible part, a safety distance of X mm (see § 3.3 page 21) has to be maintained between the parts of the sprayer that are under high voltage and all the parts that are grounded.

    When only one atomizing head is fitted on a Manifold block, with assembly on an insulating arm by fixing with a tightening nut, it ’s a TRP 501 00 D SB. • The manifolds have ducts for spraying air, trigger air, paint and the high voltage. They have a paint inlet, a paint dump outlet, four air inlets fitted with plastic unions and a high voltage connector.

Preventive maintenance plan - PMP 7028 The objective of the proposed preventive maintenance plan is to define in an exhaustive way, the verification, replacement and cleaning actions of the installed Sames equipment. In order to anticipate breakdowns and malfunctions that may be due to technical deviations of the installation, the preventive maintenance plan attached to the user manual lists the routine maintenance operations necessary for better comfort in the use of the production tool.
