TIP: If your dog's coat is too long, it is possible to order contact points with
a length of 21 mm. If your dog has dry skin, it is a good idea to lubricate
the skin where the contact points touch with medical petroleum jelly,
moisturizing oil, etc. This will ensure better transmission of the stimulation
impulses.
5. TROUBLESHOOTING
1. Please read this manual again to check if the problem is caused by misuse
or a weak battery.
2. Check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
3. If the transmitter does not communicate with the receiver, try pairing the
devices again (chapter 4.5 Pairing the transmitter with the receiver)
4. If the dog does not seem to respond to the stimulation impulses:
Check again if the battery in the receiver is weak.
Test the functionality of the receiver using the test gag (see section 5 of this
chapter).
Check that you have selected the correct length of the contact points
(chapter 4.6 Selecting the contact points) and that you have ensured contact
with the dog's skin by tightening the collar.
If the dog's skin is dry, moisten it.
5. Check that the stimulation impulse is working properly. The correct function
of the stimulation impulse command can be tested using a test gag.
Make sure the receiver is turned off.
Attach the test gag pins to both contact points (as shown in figure 4 on
page 3) – loosen the contact points, insert the gag pins underneath them so
that they hold firmly and tighten the contact points again.
Switch on the transmitter and receiver.
Select a short or long stimulation impulse command on any function button.
As the level of the stimulation impulse is increased, the test gag will increase
in luminosity.
