PPEVTEST
Measuring R
Resistance (For IEC/EN 61557-4)
2W
Parallel circuits or transient currents may affect the test result when measuring earth
resistance.
The circuit under test must be completely de-energized.
Dial the switch to select the measuring function.
1. Before starting the test:
(a) Check the fuse is good. See the chapter "Testing the fuse".
(b) Set up the output current to 200mA.
(c) Set up the single or bi-directional mode.
2. Lock mode: Press the "Lock" button >2sec to enter the Lock Mode. Then press the
"TEST" button to start the test. The test voltage will continue to be applied until the
"TEST" button is pressed again.
3. ZERO mode: After shorting the test probe, wait for the reading to stabilize before
starting to zero.
4. The tester displays the ">" symbol and the maximum resistance for the range when
measured resistance is higher than the maximum display range.
