Longitudinal fence
• The top of the longitudinal fence guide tube and the
bottom of the longitudinal fence guide slide should be
cleaned and treated with dry lubricant spray as re-
quired (gleitmo 980 A)
• Always keep the bench surface free frorn wood resin.
• In order to ensure trouble-free chip ejection, keep the
protective casing free from wood chips and sawdust.
To do this, remove the bench insert and fold away the
cover oft the protective casing.
For cleaning remove the mains plug!
Service information
Please note that the following parts of this product are
subject to normal or natural wear and that the following
parts are therefore also required for use as consumables.
Wear parts*: Carbon brush, saw blade, batteries, table
liners, sliding stand, push handle, V-belts
* Not necessarily included in the scope of delivery!
Electrical connection
m A Connection and repair work on ill the electrical
equipment must be carried out by a qualified techni-
cian only.
The installed electric motor is factory connected ready
for operation.
The connection made by the customer as well as any
extension cables used must comply with all relevant
regulations.
Important note
Defective electrical connection cables
Electrical connection cables often suffer insolation dam-
age.
Possible causes are:
• Pinch points when connection cables are run through
window or door gaps
• Kinks resulting from incorrect attachment of laying of
the connection cable.
• Cuts resulting from running over the connecting cable.
• Insolation damage resulting from forcefully pulling out
of the wall socket
• Cracks through aging of insulation.
Such defective electrical connection cables must
not be used as the insolation damage makest hem
extremely hazardous.
Check electrical connection cables regularly for dam-
age. Make sure the cable is disconnected from the mains
when checking.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the regu-
lations applicable in your country.
The electrical motor is configured for S6/40% mode.
The motor will switch off automatically when over-
loaded. After a cooling down period of varying dura-
tion it can be switched back on.
One phase motor
• The mains voltage must comply with the specification
on the motor nameplate.

• Extension cables up to 25 m in length must have a cross
section of 1.5 sqmm, above 25 m in length 2.5sqmm.
• The mains is protected bya 16 A slowblow fuse.
Three phase motor
• The mains voltage must comply with the specification
on the motor nameplate
• Mains connection cable and any extensions must be
5-lead cables = 3/N/PE
• Extension cables must have a cross section of at leas
1,5 sqmm.
• The mains is protected by max. 16 A.
• When connecting to the mains or relocating the ma-
chine, chech the direction of rotation and change po-
larity if necessary
When making inquiries please specify the following:
• Motor manufacturer
• Motor current type
• Motor nameplate specifications
• Switch nameplate specifications
When sending the motor in, always send the com-
plete drive unit including the switch.
Removing and replacing the motor
Disconnect the mains plug!
• Remove the saw blade and splitting wedge, swing the
motor to 45°.
• Tum the bench circular saw upside down.
• Open the cover of the motor terminal box and discon-
nect the switch cable from the motor.

• Unscrew all four hexagon screws holding the moto
(size 13)
• Turn the motor about 1/4 turn in the direction of the ar-
row (3). This will loosen the belt so that the motor can
be removed.
• When fitting the new motor, make sure the flat belt
rests exactly on the motor pulley. Screw in the four
fixing screws but do not tighten yet.
• Turn the motor in the direction of the arrow (2) until the
belt tightens Tighten the 4 motor fixing screws firmly.
• Connect the switch cable to the motor. The connection
diagramm is in the motor terminal box.
All protection and safety devices mustbe replaced
after completing repair and maintenance proce-
dures.
