Putting into operation
m Read the safety notes before ill putting into opera-
tion.
All protection and auxiliary equipment must be fit-
ted.
After connecting to the mains, your scheppach Precisa
4.0 bench circular saw is ready for operation.
Connecting the extraction hose, fig. „N"/ „N1" / „N2"
The scheppach woova 3.0 suction system provides a
practically dust-free working atmosphere in conjunction
with the schepppach Precisa 4.0 bench circular saw.
Adjusting the saw blade height Fig."P"
• Continuous saw blade height adjustment from zero to
max. 82 mm is possible with the handwheel.
• Make adjustments to the saw blade height only
when the motor is switched off and the saw blade
has come to a standstill.
Adjusting the saw blade angle Fig."Q"
• Continuous saw blade angle adjustment from 90m° to
max 45° is possible with the adjusting wheel.
• Loosen the wing nut on the adjusting wheel, select the
desired setting in degrees and tighten the wing nut
again.
• Make adjustments to the saw blade angle only
when the motor is switched off and the saw blade
has come to a standstill

Important: Only use well-sharpened, crack-free,
non-deformed original scheppach saw blades! Only
saw blades with a diameter of 250mm - 270mm may
be installed.
Worn table inlays must be replaced.
• Unscrew the screws (1) in the table inlay (2) only until
they are approx. 1 mm above the table inlay and re-
move the table inlay (2).
• See also Images C, D, D1 and the chapters Mount-
ing, Fig. "C", Fig. "D" and Fig. "D1".
• Use both hands to swivel the protective cover (3) away
from the sawblade. Now the mains voltage at the drive
is also interrupted by a limit switch.
• Turn the sawblade (10) all the way up with the hand-
wheel (4). Ensure that the sawblade (10) is at an angle
of 90° to the tabletop.
• Slide the retaining mandrel through the hole (5) in the
front wall of the frame, then through the hole (6) in the
swivel frame into the hole in the sawing shaft. If neces-
sary, turn the sawing shaft by hand so that the retaining
mandrel engages.
• Loosen the hexagonal nut (8) on the sawblade with the
supplied hexagon spanner SW 30 to the "right".
• Then remove the hexagonal nut (8), sawblade flange
(9) and sawblade (10). (Attention! cutting hazard -
wear gloves!)
• Re-install the new sawblade in reverse order. Do not
forget to close the protective cover again, otherwise
there is a risk of damage and the machine will not start!
• Attention! If a sawblade with a different diameter (Ø
250 mm - 270 mm) is installed, the riving knife must be
re-adjusted. See Fig. "C", Fig. "D", Fig. "D1"!
Maintenance
m Switch off the motor and pull the ill plug out be-
fore undertaking any maintenance work.
All protection and safety devices must be replaced
after completing repair and maintenance procedures.
The following maintenance points should be ob-
served for your scheppach Precisa 4.0 bench circu-
lar saw.
Fig."R"
After the first 1 - 2 hours of operation, check the belt ten-
sion and increase the tension.
• Remove the cover hood and splitting wedge.
• Lower the saw blade into the table top and then swivel 45°
• Turn overthe circular-saw bench onto the bench top. To
protect the bench surface, lay cardboard or ablanket
on the ground.
• Loosen the 4 motor fixing screws (1), but do not un-
screw them totally
• Turn the motor, with both hands, in the direction of the
arrow (2)
• Retighten the motor fixing screws (1).
• Set the circular-saw bench up again, and complete as-
sembly.
Regularly check the belt tension, and retension
The moveable parts such as the threaded spindie for
cutting height adjustment and the toothed rack with
tooth segment for angle adjustments hould occasion-
ally be cleaned and treated with a dry lubricant spray.
