3. OPERATION
3.1 Parts description
Following the enumeration in the parts and components section:
1.
Inlet for ground coffee/descaling tablets; grinding level knob
1.1 Ground coffee inlet/descaling tablets: only for single-use coffee powder (not
a coffee powder tank, maximum 10 gr) and descaling tablets for cleaning the
brewing system. To access this part, you must open a tab with slots.
1.2 Grinding level knob: the higher the grinding level, the coarser the coffee. Turning
the knob clockwise will increase the size of the ground coffee. Turning the knob
counterclockwise will decrease the size of the ground coffee.
NOTE: please note that if you select a very fine ground coffee size and a very high press level,
it is possible that hardly any coffee will come out. The appliance will display a warning at the
end of the brewing process indicating that it has overpressurised, so the appliance will have
to start cleaning.
2.
7" touch display.
3.
Coffee spout: adjustable between 8 and 12.5 cm.
3.1 The spout is equipped with a device called Cappuccinatore, which in turn consists
of a removable and easy-to-clean milk system. In order to remove the milk
system, it is first necessary to pull out the metal part of the Cappuccinatore, which
is attached by magnets. The milk system is extracted by a small outward pull.
4.
Drip tray: collects waste water and coffee grounds. Clean and empty the grounds when
the appliance requires it or when the appliance is not to be used for a long period of
time.
5.
Coffee bean tank: only fill it with natural roasted coffee beans. Do not use blended
coffee or roasted coffee. Do not put any other product into the tank.
6.
Button/indicator light: It is used to switch on/off the coffee machine, and to indicate
the state in which the appliance is (on/off or standby mode).
7.
Power cable.
8.
Power switch: it is at the bottom left side of the coffee machine.
9.
Water tank: always use bottled mineral water or filtered water.
10. Milk tank: only fill it with cold whole milk to improve the milk froth result. Clean it after
each use with water following the milk system quick clean.
3.2 Using the coffee machine for the first time
Plug in the coffee machine. Pull out the power cable and connect it to the mains.
Fill the coffee bean tank. Open the tank cover, fill it with coffee beans and put the cover back
in place.
