The design of V630 is based on SIP version 2 (RFC 3261) and is
interoperable with major SIP-based call servers, IP-PBXs and other
standard SIP-based client devices. Conforms to the IEEE 802.11b/g
standard and works well with the existing 802.11b or 802.11g wireless
APs and gateways, V630 is the best cordless handset solution for both
residential and business users. The compact handset is easy to carry and
it allows users to place VoIP calls in public 802.11-based environments.
High Voice Quality at Low Communication Cost
The tagging features of V630 support service providers' QoS (Quality of
Service) plans such as ToS (Type of Service), and the unit allows gateways
or central side equipment to identify and prioritize voice and data traffics.
The support to G.711 and G.729 voice compression technology enables
also V630 to effectively reduce bandwidth consumed by voice traffics.
Travel Charger Design for Mobile Users
The V630's travel charger design makes it easier for users to carry and use
the phone on different sites, and its mobile phone style also gives user
familiar and even better experience with VoIP services.
Direct IP-to-IP Call and Ad-hoc Intercom Mode
By configuring a remote IP address in the built-in phone book, the V630
provides a direct IP-to-IP call feature for environments without
intermediate SIP proxy server available on the network. V630 can also
establish an 802.11 ad-hoc network (computer-to-computer network
without Access Point) that allows users to use the handsets as wireless
intercoms.
