1.5.4 Before putting the desk into operation

•
Ensure that the desk was assembled in compliance with these instructions.
• Establish plug connections from the operating unit and the side elements to the motor control unit.
• Check whether the desk's operating voltage corresponds to the local power supply (see nameplate on the
control unit, standard = 230 V) and plug in the control unit's mains cable.
•
For tables with a battery, insert the battery into the holder provided for it.

1.5.5 During operation

•
If the drives or the motor control unit emit(s) unusual noises or odours during operation, disconnect the
power supply.
•
Ensure that the cables are not damaged.
•
Care must be taken to ensure that no objects or body parts can get caught when the desk is in operation.
• All moving parts of the desk must be at a distance of at least 25 mm from adjacent components.
•
Electrical wiring must not be exposed to a crushing hazard, bending load or tensile load.
•
Ensure that electrical wiring does not constitute a tripping hazard.
• Unplug the mains plug of mobile electronic devices before moving them.
•
Regardless of the load, the duty cycle of 10% (2 min on / 18 min off) as indicated on the data sheet may
not be exceeded, since it might cause the motor and the motor control unit to overheat. Exceeding the
duty cycle can significantly shorten the system's service life. To prevent this, the temperature is checked
inside the motor control unit, and the system is deactivated if the temperature limit is exceeded. HOT is
shown on the display of the hand switch (optional)! Another brief operation period is possible after a short
cooling-down period. The necessary duration of the cooling-down period depends on the respective room
temperature.

1.5.6 Important service information

Danger: Only use original accessories! They may only be assembled by qualified service
personnel! Otherwise, you will invalidate any warranty and guarantee claims.
Danger: If a fault occurs, contact your responsible Customer Service agent immediately! Only
original spare parts may be used to repair the desk. They may only be replaced by qualified
service personnel! Otherwise, you will invalidate any warranty and guarantee claims.

If a technical defect occurs on this device, please contact a Customer Service agent authorised by us. The
solutions for simple possible error situations can be found in Section 8.
Caution: To avoid malfunctions, all repairs may only be carried out by authorised service
personnel.
