5.3.3 Procedure for putting the desk into operation
Caution! For tables with power supply unit: Do not plug in the power supply cable / mains cable
until all other electrical connections have been made! (All motors and the handset are
connected to the motor control box).
Caution! For tables with battery: Do not push the battery into its holder until all other electrical
connections have been established! (All the motors and the hand switch are connected to the
motor control unit.)
Each lifting column of the motorised, adjustable desks from the se:lab tableboard range is equipped with a
motor. Parallel movement and proper functioning of the memory function are guaranteed by the software in
the motor control unit, even at an irregular load. A soft start and soft stop function is also part of this software.
It enables gentle starting and stopping of the desk.
The motor control unit may not be wrapped in thermally insulating material; instead, it must be positioned so
that heat can be transferred to the surrounding area. There are no ventilation slots to consider – the motor
control unit emits heat via its surface.
When the system is fully wired, the mains plug or the battery pack must be visible so that they can be pulled
out of the socket or its receptacle at any time if necessary.
Proceed as follows to put the desk into operation:
5.3.4 Connecting the drives
The desk must be connected as shown in Fig. 5.2.3. Establish the connection between the drives and the
motor control unit by means of the motor cables and the extension cable. The plug connections at the 6-pole
motor sockets must snap securely into place!
