Danger: If an error occurs, the desktop may start to move every time the height adjustment is
triggered before the safety shutdown is engaged. Note that there is a potential crushing hazard
in this situation.

1.5.2 General safety instructions for the JCP35PA rechargeable battery

Caution: The battery may only be used to operate the JCB36M motor control unit installed on
the desk, or to charge small devices (e.g. smartphones) via the USB interface at the front of the
battery.
Caution: Damaged batteries must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations to avoid
hazards and malfunctions.
Caution: When charging the battery, both the battery and the charger may get warm. Keep a
sufficient distance from sensitive or flammable objects and do not cover the battery or the
charger.
Caution: Keep the battery and charger away from children.
Caution: Keep the battery away from heat and fire and avoid any contact with water or direct
sunlight.
The capacity of the battery decreases over time. The decrease depends on the use and temperature.

1.5.3 Before installation, uninstallation or troubleshooting

• Stop the desk.
Note: Switch off the power supply by pulling the battery out of its holder!
Note: for tables with power supply via mains adapter: switch off the power supply by unplugging
the connection cable from the socket!
• Remove any weight from the desk.

The electrical equipment may only be opened or replaced by a qualified electrician.
• Do not operate the desk in damp places such as bathrooms.

The desk may not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
