different capacity for
storing information.
Tip
If the power fails while you're
playing a CD or DVD disc,
the disc may not eject
automatically. If this happens,
you can remove the disc
manually.

Identifying Your Hard Drive Size

1. From the Windows desktop,
double-click the My
Computer
Computer window is
displayed.
2. Right-click the Hard Drive
q
3. Select Properties from the
pop-up menu. The
Properties window is
displayed. The size of the
hard drive and the amount of
free space remaining is found
on the General tab.
Note: Your hard drive may be partitioned into two drives—drive C and drive
D. The two drives make up your total hard drive capacity. If the capacity of
your C drive does not match what is stated in the documentation, you can
find the remaining capacity located on the D drive. The D drive contains
important system backup files and diagnostics.
Manually Removing a Disc from Your
CD-ROM, CD-RW, or DVD-ROM Drive
1. Shut down your computer.
2. Gently push the tip of a
paper clip into the hole
under the
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM
drive. If the hole is not
visible, you can locate it
under the pull-down flap.
