Before you can send and receive e-mail or "surf the Web," you
must first connect to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and then
establish an ISP account. You can connect to the Internet using
the 56K ITU V.90 Standard modem or a Digital Subscriber Line
(DSL) modem.
This chapter provides basic information for identifying and
using your modem, downloading and uploading software from
the Internet, and creating e-mail attachments that enable you to
send files with your e-mail.
