7. To set the tap selector switch, use the provided grille hook to first remove the
speaker grille. Insert the small end of the hook through any perforation along
the outer edge of the grille and pull the grille off the speaker.

Use an Extron Tweeker or small screwdriver to set the tap selector switch to
the desired position.

Replace the grille.
NOTES:
• Wiring is the same for all hanging methods where PCC-2 cable is used. If it is not used, the 2-pole splicing
connectors at the speaker should be replaced with the provided 3-pole splicing connectors (see the
Installation and Configuration

Optional Ceiling Bracket Kit

The optional SMK C SF 26PT Extron Ceiling Bracket Kit for 6-inch and larger
pendant speakers allows the SF 28PT speaker assembly to be suspended from
a octagon junction box. The kit consists of two ceiling brackets and matching
magnetic covers.
1. Install and wire an octagonal junction box where the ceiling bracket is to be
attached.
NOTE: The junction box must be attached to a permanent structural
member of the building and be able to support the complete
speaker assembly including the speaker and cap, cable, and the
ceiling bracket and cover plate (see the
