Faults
The pump is not running

Causes
No electrical power supply
The motor's thermal protection device has cut off
the power
The voltage is too low
Motor failure
Check valve/flow switch defective
Air is in the suction pipe/hose
Air entrance through seals
Foreign bodies cause blockage of parts of the
pump
Suction pipe too narrow
Suction hose of too soft rubber
The valve on the suction side is not sufficiently
opened
Air is in the pipework
Heavy wear on impeller or pump body
Low voltage
Pressure switch failure
Water leaks in pipework or pump
Failure of non-return valve
Foreign material in the pump
The pump is not correctly secured to the ground
Bearing damaged
Low supply voltage
Impeller rubs against pump housing
Capacitor defective oder in bad condition
Ambient temperature too high
Cracked outer cover due to accident or outer im-
pact
Plastic baseplate damaged due to accident or
outer impact
Operating unit and motor terminal box adapter
wires not properly connected
Operating unit's control box and control panel not
connected correctly
Remedies
Check the mains fuse, the wiring and the inner
connections of the motor's terminal box
An overheated motor will not run. Let it cool down
(20-30 minutes)
Remove any motor overload
If the motor still does not run after it cooled down,
contact the after-sales service
Add voltage regulator or contact energy supply
company for solution
Contact the after-sales service
Check water levels in wells
Unscrew the valve cover, inspect and clean the
valve body
Make the suction pipe/hose air-tight
Replace seals by new ones
Check and clean the pump
Install a larger suction pipe
Install a sufficiently strong suction hose
Open the valve completely
Check the pipework for correct sealing
Remove the air from the pump and make sure that
the suction pipe is sealed.
Replace impeller or pump body
Add voltage regulator or contact energy supply
company for solution
Repair or replace the pressure switch
Make sure that pipework and leak seals are intact
Unscrew the valve cover, inspect and clean the
valve body
Remove foreign material
Tighten the anchor screws
Contact Wilo customer service
Add voltage regulator or contact energy supply
company for solution
Replace impeller or pump housing
Replace capacitor
Ensure cooling
Replace the outer cover
Replace the plastic baseplate
Check the status of the adapter cable connection
between the operating unit's connection box and
the main motor terminal box
Remove the control panel from the operating unit
connection box and check the adapter cable and
control panel connection
