When setting the suction height, changes in water level should be taken into account.

• Install a pump drain to create a natural outlet. Correct drainage helps to prevent damage
caused by leaks when using, repairing or replacing the pump. The height of the standing
water must not be higher than the base of the pump.
• When pumping water from a well, install a sand filter on the suction side. The sand filter
prevents the impeller of the pump from wearing out in a short period of time. Otherwise,
the pump may produce low pressure and reduced volume flow.
• A shut-off valve should be installed on the discharge side of the pump to allow for peri-
odic checking in the future.
• To prevent leaks and to reduce pipe resistance, minimise pipe lengths and reduce the
complete pipework.
WARNING
Risk of parts inside the pump!
Take care to remove closure parts of the pump housing before installation.
NOTICE
Each pump undergoes hydraulic testing at the factory, which may result in
some residual water remaining inside. To ensure hygienic conditions, it is
strongly recommended to flush the pump before using it with a drinking
water supply.
WARNING
Risk of fall!
Lift and transport the pump at the recessed grips.
If pumping well water, it is important to remove as much sand as possible from the well..
Otherwise, it will affect the pump's performance and shorten its service life.
Ideally install the pump at the upper end of the well. Installing it a distance away from the
wellhead negatively affects the suction range.
