    USER MANUAL– STROBOLED 3.3 DESCRIPTION & FUNCTIONING StroboLED Ecleris developed using technology, designed laryngostroboscopy use and endoscopic procedures; Due to its versatility to produce continue or stroboscopic light from its single output. StroboLED has a LED lighting module which produces the necessary required light to obtain video images.

    6) Plug the contact microphone to the connector on the front of the unit (1). Optional: Plug the auxiliar output to the Ecleris Procam camera to synchronize it. Optional: Plug the Audio output (Female RCA connector) on the back panel (9) to the recording device you would like to use.

    If before connecting the StroboLED any anomaly is detected, please contact the technical service department of your local distributor or the closest ECLERIS office, prior to its use. 5.2 OPERATIONS This section details the procedure for setting up the device and checking its operation. It should be done once the device is installed and during maintenances.

    USER MANUAL– STROBOLED 5.2.3 OPERATION MODES AND FEATURES Auto Frequency Detection: Select this mode by pressing the Auto Mode selection button (4). During the stroboscopy, the device will automatically determine the phonation base frequency and, according to the chosen feature, automatically determines when the light pulses should be emitted to produce the desired cords display.

PERFORMING AN EXAMINATION 6.1 GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS It is essential to perform the stroboscopic examination in a calm quiet environment; and following the steps in this section: 1) Prepare the patient for the examination. 2) Introduce the endoscope 3) Patient Phonation stage.

    Occasional precautions and good maintenance are necessary to enhance the equipment features. Contact your local dealer or the closest ECLERIS office for the inspection or maintenance of any device. Only maintenance expressed in this manual is authorized by Ecleris. Any other not consented service by Ecleris will invalidate the warranty.

    Do not use detergents, solvents or any other abrasive agent. It is advisable to clean the exterior surface of the device every 15 days. The cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of accessories not provided by ECLERIS must be performed following the instruction provided by their manufacturer.

    USER MANUAL– STROBOLED 2) Under the power supply cable connector (12) there is a small rectangular plastic holder where the fuses are located. Using a screwdriver and with a slight pressure remove the lid to replace the damaged fuse. 3) Remove the burnt fuses and replace them with the spare fuses (2 x T3AL250V). Always have new spare fuses available to avoid loss of time and an inoperative unit.

    The warranty period is for one (1) year as from the date of purchase invoice. ECLERIS shall not be liable for any damage caused to/by the StroboLED due to incorrect use, negligence, cleaning or incorrect storage. Any repairs made by personnel not authorized by ECLERIS will void this warranty.

    3.3 DESCRIPCION Y FUNCIONAMIENTO El estroboscopio Ecleris StroboLED, desarrollado a base de tecnología LED, ha sido diseñado tanto para su uso en laringoestroboscopía, como para procedimientos endoscópicos dada su versatilidad para proporcionar, con la misma salida, tanto luz completamente continua como luz estroboscópica.

    6) Conecte el micrófono de contacto al conector ubicado en el frente del equipo (1). Opcional: Conecte la Salida Auxiliar a la cámara Ecleris Procam para sincronizarla. Opcional: Conecte la salida de Audio (Conector RCA Hembra) situado en la parte posterior del equipo (9) al dispositivo de grabación que desee utilizar.

    Si antes de la puesta en marcha del StroboLED se detecta alguna anomalía, comuníquese con el departamento de servicio técnico de su distribuidor local o con la oficina de ECLERIS más cercana antes de utilizarlo.

En caso de utilizar un micrófono aéreo para la detección de la frecuencia fundamental de la voz del paciente, oprima la imagen de la derecha.

    USER MANUAL– STROBOLED  Intensidad: Ajuste de la intensidad de luz en el Modo Continuo. Ajuste de Niveles de 1 a 12 oprimiendo los controles en rojo para aumentar o disminuir el nivel indicado. Este ajuste puede realizarse sólo en el Modo Continuo y no durante la fonación en ningún Modo.
  • Page 32 USER MANUAL– STROBOLED el control apuntando a la izquierda disminuye la frecuencia en pasos de a 10Hz. El rango de frecuencias es de 80 Hz a 1500 Hz. El ajuste fino de la frecuencia se realiza a través del dial, oprimiéndolo y moviéndolo hacia la derecha para aumentar y hacia la izquierda para disminuir.

REALIZACION DE UN ESTUDIO 6.1 CONSIDERACIONES GENERALES Para la realización de un estudio estroboscópico es necesario que el mismo sea realizado en un ambiente tranquilo y silencioso; y seguir una serie de pasos que se describen en la presente sección: 4) Preparar al paciente para la realización del estudio.

    USER MANUAL– STROBOLED 6.3 ETAPA DE INGRESO AL PACIENTE Para la etapa de ingreso, ya sea con el fibroscopio o con el endoscopio, el modo de funcionamiento del equipo debe ser en Modo Continuo: (modo en el que se encuentra al encenderse) y el paciente no debe fonar.

    Siempre que sea posible, el envío deberá ser efectuado con el embalaje original para evitar que se dañe el equipo durante el traslado. ECLERIS no se responsabilizará por aquellos daños o defectos originados durante el transporte que sean vinculados a un embalaje deficiente.
