The pan lid is fully open.

There are no baskets hanging on the lifting arm.
1. Simultaneously press and hold the central dial and the button:

If you release the button, the pan will stop tilting.

Risk of crushing when lowering the pan
There is a risk of crushing if you are lowering the pan and there are persons or objectives within the pan's
swivel range.
1. Do not place any objects within the pan's swivel range.
2. Make sure there is nobody standing within the pan's swivel range.
1. Simultaneously press and hold the central dial and the button:

If you release the button, the pan will stop lowering.

The button will be displayed:
lowered.

The button starts to flash:
You can only start manual modes and intelligent cooking paths once the pan is fully lowered.

Opening and closing the pan drain valve

1. To open the pan drain valve, press the pan drain valve lever down into the rest position.
WARNING! Scalding hazard! If the pan drain valve lever is not in the rest position, it may snap back closing
the pan drain valve abruptly. Hot water may spray out as a result.

If you open the pan drain valve while you are deep-frying or if you have deep-fried food, a signal will sound.
Close the pan drain valve immediately as oil or fat should not be disposed of through the drain. Click here for
more information: Disposing of oil and fat [} 94]. Only open the pan drain valve once you have tilted the pan
fully and there is no longer any oil or fat in the pan.
2. To close the pan drain valve, press the lever back to its starting position.

The button will be displayed:
Units with pressure cooking (optional)
You cannot open the pan drain valve in the following cases:
You are deep-frying or have deep-fried food and did not fully tilt the pan afterwards.

The pan is too hot.
