1.1 Features

SI (serial interface) unit is an EtherNet/IP™ device for pneumatic solenoid valves manufactured by
SMC. The SI unit can control a 64 (2 solenoid valves per station) stations valve manifold and has the
following characteristics.
・Protection rating of enclosure IP67
・Two M12 connectors (4-pin socket, D-code) for EtherNet/IP™ communication
・M12 connector (4-pin plug, A-code) for power supply
・Maximum number of valves/points that can be controlled 64 valves/128 points
・QuickConnect™ function
・DLR (Device Level Ring) function
・Web server function
・Internal insulation structure for two power supply voltages
・Integrated diagnostic and short circuit protection function
