Otherwise, damage to the product can result, causing malfunction. •Tighten to the specified tightening torque. If the tightening torque is exceeded the mounting screws may be broken. IP65 protection cannot be guaranteed if the screws are not tightened to the specified torque.

Otherwise, failure or malfunction can result. •Do not use the product in an environment that is exposed to temperature cycle. Heat cycles other than ordinary changes in temperature can adversely affect the inside of the product. •Do not expose the product to direct sunlight.

    2 Installation 2.1 Mounting 2.1.1 Valve manifold connection Connect the valve manifold with the 2 screws on the SI Unit. (Hexagonal socket wrench size 2.5) Note: •Tighten the screws while holding the SI unit and the valve manifold so that there is no gap between them. •Tighten the screws with the tightening torque specified.

If only one connector is used, cover the unused connector with a seal cap so that the protection rating of IP67 is maintained. Note: •Power and PROFINET communication cables must be installed correctly. •Seal caps must be fitted to all unused PROFINET communication connector connector ports to ensure an IP67 rating.

    The GSD file has definitions for two types of Head modules. One type has no presets (EX260-MPN1 (without preset) and the other type has presets (EX260-MPN1 (xx valves preset). In total the GSD file contains four Head modules. Refer to Fig 3-1.

    3.2 Parameterization 3.2.1 Module parameters The SI unit has the vendor specific module parameters in the head module and the ‘8 valves’ module as follows. Head module The head module has the following module parameters for PROFIenergy. The SI Unit enters energy saving mode when the SI Unit receives the PROFIenergy command with a pause time of more than 1 second.

    6 Troubleshooting The status of the SI unit is indicated by the LED indicators. If a problem occurs on the SI unit, you can use the following chart to troubleshoot. Also refer to the online diagnostics via the IO controller software to help identify the problem. In rare circumstances a fault may arise which is not listed in the troubleshooting chart.
